About their Leadership
Hon. Christy Okolie is a respected community leader, healthcare professional, and Ex-Officio member of the Executive Council of Eko Club Austin Texas (ECAT). As a Former President and President Emeritus, she continues to provide valuable guidance, mentorship, and institutional knowledge that support the Executive Council in advancing the vision and mission of ECAT.
A Registered Nurse by profession, Hon. Okolie has dedicated her career to caring for others while remaining deeply committed to community service and cultural preservation. She made history as the first General Secretary of Eko Club Austin Texas, helping establish the administrative foundation upon which the chapter continues to thrive.
She later served as President of ECAT, providing visionary leadership that strengthened member engagement, expanded cultural and charitable programs, and fostered unity among Lagosians and the wider Nigerian community in the diaspora. Her administration was marked by inclusiveness, collaboration, and a strong commitment to preserving the customs, traditions, and values of Lagos State.
A devoted believer in Christ Jesus, Hon. Okolie actively serves in her church through the Beautification and Sanitation Ministry, reflecting her passion for faith, service, and excellence. She has also represented ECAT at numerous Eko Club International (ECI) Quarterly Meetings and International Conventions, contributing to the continued growth and success of the organization.
As an Ex-Officio member, Hon. Christy Okolie remains a trusted advisor whose experience, wisdom, and servant leadership continue to inspire members and strengthen ECAT.
