About their Leadership
Hon. Gloria Osamor is a dedicated educator, respected community leader, and committed servant of God whose life reflects excellence, integrity, and a passion for service. Born and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria, she was brought up in a disciplined, God-fearing home that instilled in her the values of hard work, humility, and lifelong learning.
She earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) from Auchi Polytechnic and completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kaduna State. After relocating to the United States in 1988, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education (Cum Laude) from Texas Southern University and later earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership (Principalship) from the University of Houston, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.
Hon. Osamor enjoyed an outstanding career in education for nearly 20 years, earning numerous awards, including Reading Teacher of the Year, presented by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Institute. She was honored with the opportunity to deliver a model reading lesson at the Rodeo, showcasing her exceptional teaching skills. Following her retirement in May 2025, she continues to serve in education on a PRN basis.
A firm believer that “no one is an island,” Hon. Osamor has remained actively involved in community service through several organizations. Within Eko Club Austin Texas (ECAT), she has faithfully served in various leadership roles and currently serves as the Treasurer/Financial Secretary, where her professionalism, accountability, and financial stewardship continue to strengthen the organization.
A devoted mother of three, Hon. Gloria Osamor is inspired by her faith, family, and commitment to serving others. She exemplifies the values of Unity, Heritage, Service, and Excellence that define Eko Club Austin Texas (ECAT).
