About their Leadership

Hon. Halimat Jinadu is a dedicated community advocate, healthcare professional, and emerging leader committed to uplifting communities through education, outreach, and compassionate service. A proud Lagosian residing in Austin, Texas, she is passionate about advancing the vision and mission of Eko Club Austin Texas (ECAT) while fostering unity and cultural preservation among Lagosians in the diaspora.

She holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics from Nova Southeastern University, Miami, Florida. Through her expertise in biomedical informatics and healthcare, she supports organizations that help individuals and families access quality healthcare services and essential community resources. Her passion for education, public health, and service continues to drive her commitment to improving the lives of underserved communities.

Hon. Halimat joined ECAT in March 2023 and quickly became an active contributor to the organization. She served as Social Secretary of the ECI Cultural Committee (2023–2025) and currently serves as the Assistant Secretary of ECAT (2024–2026), where she supports the administration of the chapter and contributes to the successful planning and coordination of its programs and activities.

Outside her professional and community engagements, Hon. Halimat enjoys traveling, exploring diverse cultures through food and music, and spending quality time with her family.

Through her dedication, professionalism, and spirit of service, Hon. Halimat Jinadu continues to embody the values of Unity, Heritage, Service, and Excellence that define Eko Club Austin Texas (ECAT).
